It’s Sunday evening and I can’t think of a better time to introduce this new feature to HelloHenrietta.com. They say ‘you learn something new everyday’ which I think is true. I also believe that with each passing week there are key moments that grab your attention, make you think, laugh, smile and even click that “share” button. I don’t know about you but I spend an insane amount of time online and I often find hilarious videos on my Facebook feed or a thought proving news story that stops me in my tracks and makes me re-evaluate life and the world we live in. For me Sunday evenings are the perfect time to unwind and reflect on the week gone by and that’s essentially what ‘The Weekend Wrap up’ is all about; a place to share my weekly musings. If you’d like to share you’re weekly musings simply leave a link to the post, picture, video etc in the comment section below or tweet me, I’d love to see them!
I cannot get enough of Jimmy Needham and his Music. I’ve been a fan for a while and I really admire his work ethic. His music speaks volumes and it has had a huge impact on me over the years. I always look forward to hearing something new, even after he has just released new material. Ha! ‘No more Coal’ is the new Christmas EP and its phenomenal. ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, ‘I’ll be home for Christmas’ and ‘If Jesus was like Santa Claus’ are the tracks on the EP, each one epic in its own right. Jimmy’s artistry amazes me every time and this EP is packed full of good christmas vibes. I can’t wait to add this to my Christmas Playlist.
I tweeted earlier in the week that I had stumbled across a Podcast. That podcast my friends is ‘Mind Body Musings with Maddy Moon’. I can tell you now that listening to this podcast is the best thing that I have done all week. I’ve been looking for a podcast which holds the same values and morals as I do but also empowers and motivates me. I love that feeling you get when you stumble across something on the internet that you’ve been searching for for what seems like forever. I have Amore & Vita to thank for drawing my attention to Maddys work. I feel like my mind has been renewed and I can handle whatever life throws at me. I honestly relate to Maddy on so many different levels and I’m so thankful for her & her podcast. Within a week I’ve learnt so many life tips and gained a world of knowledge. I have also discovered incredible and extraordinary mentors such as Alexi Panos (where have I been?) If you do one thing this week, listen to any one of her podcasts, I’m sure you’ll feel enlightened by the end.
Picture of the week
You can’t tell me this isn’t the cutest thing! A picture of a Japanese macaque also known as the Snow Monkey made its way into my feed as Picture of the day and it completely brightened up my day. Monkeys are my favourite animals & I could spend forever watching youtube videos of them just being them. They have snow ball fights, groom each other and lay around in hot springs. Fascinating creatures.
I mentioned this briefly in my Winter Bucket List post and I wanted to mention it again because it’s one of those stories that will stay with me forever. Reading the Huffington Post Article on how a stranger helped out another stranger made me smile. Finding out that it was his last good deed and had tragically passed away in a car accident hours later was heartbreaking. “Be the change you wish to see in the world” has never struck a cord so deep with me until now. It’s so important to be kind to others and give whenever you can. There needs to be people like Matthew in the world. Follow Matthews Legacy on Facebook.
May he rest in peace. ❤
Hope this post inspires you to have a great week, see the blessings in everything and cherish every moment.
