Whether its Spring or Summer where you live I think we can all agree that a good sprucing up around the home is always refreshing and gratifying. When the seasons change I get these sudden bursts of inspiration and it is in those moments that I decide to redecorate and spring clean everything. Picture a fresh and simplistic interior design with just enough earthy elements such as bonsai trees, cacti and fresh flowers to make it feel homely, that’s the canvas for how I like my space to be. To make it feel cozy I tend to go with a ‘theme’ by adding texture and art pieces that ‘pop’. For the second time on this blog I’m going to throw in my favourite and the only Danish word I know; ‘Hygge’ (a sense of coziness). Hygge describes perfectly the feeling I aim to achieve when decorating my space.
(Think blankets, rugs and candles).
Art Work is also very important for me when decorating. I love that they tell endless stories and add character to blank spaces. Finding quirky and unique pieces is awesome but even better when it sparks a feeling or thought. A piece that has a monumental meaning is priceless and that’s why I love Minted! In case you may not have heard of Minted it’s an online stationery store powered by a global community of designers. Browsing the Minted website I found so many breath-taking pieces of Art work that I think would look perfect in any home.
I instantly fell in love with the eccentric foil map prints on the site. I’m in the process of narrowing down my favourite pieces! From Hawaii to France they have it all and each one is so intricate and simply stunning. As soon as you see them you know exactly which state, country or landmark it is. The 1st thing that came to mind when I saw the foil maps was that they would make a nice gift for couples in long distance relationships or as a house-warming gift. Honestly it would work as a focal point in any room. What I love most about the designs is that they have a way of fusing originality and individualistic character. They have so many designs to choose from and have recently added new editions to their collections so it’s definitely worth checking out if you are on the hunt for some new editions to your space. You can also customise the size and the frames to your liking! Perfect!
Aside from the foil maps I also really like prints from their new spring collection so I’ve made a Pinterest Board featuring all the items on my Minted Wish list which you can check out here . If you’re on the hunt for some new art for either your home or to gift to a friend I think Minted is the perfect place to shop.Check out the art collection here.
